The book for April is Ollie’s Easter Eggs by Olivier Dunrea. “Gossie, Gertie, BooBoo, and Peedie are all dyeing Easter eggs. Ollie wants Easter eggs too and he has a plan on how he'll get them! Olivier Dunrea again gets the preschooler emotions exactly right, capturing a range of holiday-inspired feelings, from Ollie's wiggly impatience to be included to the pure joy of the older goslings discovering that Ollie has arranged the best Easter egg hunt of all.”

It’s time to get ready for the growing season, and nothing grows greener than produce from Edible Landscapes. Join Joyce Clinger, owner of Edible Landscapes, for a special presentation at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27 in the library’s large meeting room. Located in Bucyrus, Edible Landscapes is a family-run produce farm specializing in organic vegetables and fruit, a portion of which are sold at local farmers markets and grocery stores. Joyce will explain about the business and the benefits of eating local, fresh organic produce.

Craft Party: Bunny Burrow Lantern

You can’t celebrate Spring without a bunny or two! Join Rachel Keirns-Moore for Craft Party on Thursday, April 13 at 6:00 p.m. and create a Spring bunny lantern with a decorative dandelion top. There’s no cost to attend. Supplies and snacks are provided so gather your friends and sign up for a maker's night out! Registration is required and begins Monday, April 3. Sign up at the library or call 419-294-1345 to reserve a spot. Space is limited. Adults only, please.

STEAMpunks: Flower Power

It’s Spring and we’re leveling up with some flower power! Join Youth Services Specialist Lisa Andres at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, May 8 in the library’s large meeting room as she teaches about flowers and planting. Students will even get to create a cute present in time for Mother’s Day. All items will be supplied for the program. STEAMpunks is intended for students in grades 6-12.
