Join the Upper Sandusky Community Library for a special presentation from a third generation Holocaust survivor.
Melissa W. Hunter will tell the story of her grandmother, Holocaust survivor Sala Werthaiser, who was forced, along with her family, into the Olkusz Ghetto. Sala was later deported to Auschwitz and survived six other concentration camps before being liberated in 1945. Hunter, a writer and blogger from Cincinnati, wrote a novel inspired by her grandmother’s life.
The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24 at Trinity Evangelical Church, 108 Malabar Drive.
Hunter is part of the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center's Coppel Speakers Bureau.
This program is part of the Americans and the Holocaust traveling exhibit, which is on display at the library now through Sept. 30.
