Join us for a film screening of “The US and the Holocaust” before the arrival of the Americans and the Holocaust exhibit.
The documentary, which was created by Ken Burns, Lynn Novick, and Sarah Botstein, “examines America’s response to one of the greatest humanitarian crises of the twentieth century.” Using firsthand accounts of witnesses and survivors, the documentary “delves deeply into the tragic human consequences of public indifference, bureaucratic red tap and restrictive quota laws in America.”
The viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8 in the library’s boardroom. Patti Davidson will lead a discussion after the film screening.
