The Upper Sandusky Community Library Board of Trustees will convene for a meeting at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11. The library’s Board of Trustees meets at noon on the second Thursday of each month to discuss library business. The meetings are open to the public.

Join John Charlton from Bread, Butter and Beyond as he returns to Upper Sandusky Community Library to share his baking knowledge at 6:00 pm. on Monday, May 22 in the large meeting room. Charlton will be discussing sourdough secrets for picture perfect loaves and addressing all your bread baking questions. He will bring samples for everyone to enjoy and attendees will have a chance to win a delicious door prize!

Ready for a new foodie program? Upper Sandusky Community Library’s Patti Davidson and her husband Tony have you covered!

Bring the world to your kitchen beginning May 1 with the free Filipino Chicken Adobo Spice It Up pack. The packs are available while supplies last. Then when you attend Taste of the World at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 15, Patti and Tony will show you how to use that spice pack to make pancit.

The Mad Hatter's Family Tea Party

The Mad Hatter is throwing a family tea party! Join the Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20 for a very special tea party. Dress up in your craziest hat or outrageous outfit and come have fun with the entire family. There will be flamingo croquet, a photo opportunity at the Queen of Hearts’ throne, and tea served by characters from “Alice in Wonderland.” Registration is required and begins Monday, May 8. Wyandot County Public Health will host its Click It or Ticket Kickoff Exhibit at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18 in the library’s large meeting room.

In Wyandot County, seat belt usage is around 94% according to statistics provided by the University of Akron. Most Wyandot County residents buckle up. But the annual Click It or Ticket kickoff campaign, launched in the county each year by the Wyandot County Safe Communities Coalition, aims to bring the lifesaving message to the remaining 6% of Wyandot County residents who do not regularly use seat belts.
