Nothing says Spring like flowers. If you have ever wondered how to take those flowers from your garden or bouquet and make them into an attractive arrangement, be sure to attend Posy Perfection at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 in the library’s large meeting room. Local florist Robin Schuster from Schuster’s Flowers will show you how to take those posies and turn them into a showpiece for all your entertaining or decorative needs.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Wyandot County is thrilled to announce, "Wyandot Give Back," a free and open-to-the-public event aimed at recruiting passionate individuals interested in giving back to the community. 

The event will take place from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29 in the Upper Sandusky Community Library’s large meeting room. This event offers an exciting opportunity for individuals to join RSVP in making a positive impact in Wyandot County. 

Intermediate American Sign Language Class

Keith Falzone, a long-time sign language interpreter, returns to Upper Sandusky Community Library to teach intermediate American Sign Language classes in May. The classes will cover fingerspelling review and numbers, sentence review, classifiers and locatives, additional vocabulary and sentences, medical signs, and mental health signs. The first class is set for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1. The classes continue every Wednesday through the month.

Library Board of Trustees (open to public)

The Upper Sandusky Community Library Board of Trustees will convene for a meeting at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9. The library’s Board of Trustees meets on the second Thursday of each month to discuss library business. The meetings are open to the public.

May is Pet Month at Upper Sandusky Community Library and we’re bringing in resources to help you care for your pets. Learn from a Lincoln Way Animal Hospital veterinarian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 during Pet Health 101. The veterinarian will discuss how to take care of your pet during the hot summer months, the importance of heartworm medicine and flea and tick prevention, and more.

Join Rachel Keirns-Moore for Craft Party at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9. You’ll create a unique work of art on canvas by painting with plaster. Registration is required and begins Monday, April 29. Got lunch plans? Come to Lunch Bunch on Monday, May 20 at 12:00 p.m. in the library’s large meeting room and bring a dish based on your mom’s favorite recipe. Make sure to bring a copy of the recipe to share with the group and then get ready to discuss cooking, baking, recipes, and more.

Taste of History: Ancient Greece

The Upper Sandusky Community Library’s Patti Davidson and her husband Tony will take a step back in time in Taste of History and will teach you about recipes and cultures from all over the world prior to the 1600s. Taste and learn about ancient Greek foods and culture as Patti and Tony demonstrate how to make epityrum, a Mediterranean-style tapenade. Taste of History will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 20. Registration for this program begins Monday, May 13. Space is limited and registration is required.
