It’s time to rock it out at STEAMpunks. Join Youth Services Specialist Lisa Andres at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 15 in the library’s large meeting room. Miss Patti, a rock aficionado, will team up with Miss Lisa to teach all about gems and crystals. Each participant will get a geode to break open and take home. Miss Lisa has everything you need, including snacks, for a fun evening of innovation! STEAMpunks is intended for students in grades 6-12.

Craft Party: Pocket Full of Posies Cutting Board

Join Rachel Keirns-Moore for Craft Party at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 11. It’s time to skip the (rain) showers and go straight to the flowers where you’ll create a cutting board Spring floral display piece. Registration is required and begins Monday, April 1. Sign up at the library or call 419-294-1345 to reserve a spot. Space is limited. Adults only, please.

Sweet Dreams Are Made of Tea

You love to cozy up with a cup of tea, now learn where it all starts. Join Rachel Dornbirer, owner of Chicory Girl Herbal Teas, at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10 in the library’s large meeting room for Sweet Dreams Are Made of Tea. Rachel will share how she got started making teas, the different varieties of tea, and why herbal teas are the best. She’ll also explain why she makes her own blends, where she sources her ingredients, and how to brew a great cup of tea.

Get ready for plants, seeds, and bulbs galore with the return of the Upper Sandusky Community Library’s annual Spring Plant & Seed Swap. 

Donations for the Plant & Seed Swap can be brought to the library Tuesday, April 23 and Wednesday, April 24 during library hours. Donations being accepted include house or outdoor plants, starts, bulbs, and seeds. The plants should be healthy, easily transportable, and should include any instructions for care or planting.
