Do you have questions about Narcan and its availability in Wyandot County?
Join the Healing Communities Coalition for a program at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29 at the Upper Sandusky Community Library discussing what Narcan is, how it is used, and why it’s an important line of protection against overdose deaths in Wyandot County.
Wyandot County Public Health will share information about the Project Dawn program, which provides free Narcan resources for the community. Hear from the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board about the impact opioids have had on Wyandot County families and the work the board is doing to reduce the impact of the opioid epidemic. Learn more about available tools to prevent opioid overdoses from Wyandot County Prevention. Attendees will also have an opportunity to be hands on with practice Narcan kits to ensure they know how to administer the life-saving drug in an emergency. Those who attend may also take home free Naloxone kits to be prepared to save a life.
For additional information contact Wyandot County Public Health Educator Callan Pugh at cpugh@co.wyandot.oh.us or by calling 419-294-3852 ext. 233 during Health Department hours.
