The Upper Sandusky Community Library Board of Trustees recently voted to go permanently fine free. What does that mean for you?
- All materials checked out at Upper Sandusky Community Library will not be fined if they are returned past the due date.
- Outstanding historical fines will be expunged.
- Items marked lost or damaged will still be billed.
- Old lost fees will remain on accounts until they are returned or paid.
- The consequence of not returning items by the due date is that accounts that have overdue items will not be able to check out more items – you will have to return or renew the items in order to check anything else out.
Basically, if you've had a book laying around for a few years that you've been afraid to return because of the high fines - don't worry anymore! Simply bring it back so we can put it back into circulation.
