Get your family outside to stretch their legs, read a book, and solve a puzzle with Coded StoryWalk®.
The book for February is “The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog!” written and illustrated by Mo Willems. “When Pigeon finds a delicious hot dog, he can hardly wait to shove the entire thing in his beak. But . . . then a very sly and hungry duckling enters the scene and wants a bite. Who will be the more clever bird?”
Before you begin your walk, stop by the library’s front desk and pick up a Coded Tales worksheet. As you walk from business to business, each page will be marked with a letter that should be written on the worksheet. When you finish the story, you will have spelled out a special message that you can return to the library to receive a prize.
The Coded StoryWalk® begins at the Upper Sandusky Community Library and continues in the windows of the following businesses: A Cut Above, Corner Inn, SURGE, Neumeister’s Candy Shoppe, A.J.’s Heavenly Pizza, Johnson Orthodontics, The Barber Shop, Seitz Financial Services, Community First Bank, First Citizens National Bank, Woven Yoga, Woods’ Antiques N More, and Richardson Flower.
