Get your family outside to stretch their legs, read a book, and solve a puzzle with Coded StoryWalk®.

The book for January is “Martha Doesn't Say Sorry!” written by Samantha Berger and illustrated by Bruce Whatley. “Adorably clad in her pink dress and matching headband, Martha is ready to do just about anything - except say those three little words: I am sorry. But when this sweet but stubborn otter learns that niceties like cookies, piggyback rides, and hugs are for people who apologize, our mischievous heroine learns the ultimately rewarding feeling that comes with saying she's sorry.”

Before you begin your walk, stop by the library’s front desk and pick up a Coded Tales worksheet. As you walk from business to business, each page will be marked with a letter that should be written on the worksheet. When you finish the story, you will have spelled out a special message that you can return to the library to receive a prize.

The Coded StoryWalk® begins at the Upper Sandusky Community Library and continues in the windows of the following businesses: A Cut Above, Corner Inn, SURGE, Neumeister’s Candy Shoppe, A.J.’s Heavenly Pizza, Johnson Orthodontics, The Barber Shop, Seitz Financial Services, Community First Bank, First Citizens National Bank, Mustard Seed Market Place, Woven Yoga, Woods’ Antiques N More, and Richardson Flower.
