Do you have a favorite reading genre, but no one to talk about it with? Then make way for the Inglorious Bookworms Book Club. Each month the book club will feature a different genre that you can dive into or skip.
Inglorious Bookworms will be reading “The Book Eaters” by Sunyi Dean. “Devon is part of The Family, an old and reclusive clan of book eaters. Her brothers grow up feasting on stories of valor and adventure, and Devon—like all other book eater women—is raised on a carefully curated diet of fairy tales and cautionary stories. But real life doesn't always come with happy endings, as Devon learns when her son is born with a rare and darker kind of hunger—not for books, but for human minds.”
The discussion will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23 in the library’s large meeting room. Copies of the book are available upon request at the library’s front desk. The book is also available as an ebook and audiobook on Libby.
