Wyandot County Public Health is returning to the Upper Sandusky Community Library in September with another in its monthly series of programs. Join Wyandot County Public Health Child Passenger Safety Technicians for a program all about car seat safety at 6:00 p.m. on September 22 in the library’s large meeting room.

Celebrate Child Passenger Safety Week (September 20-26) with Wyandot County Public Health. Whether a new parent, a babysitter or grandparent, or a parent who has been around the block, attendees will learn what they are doing right, the common mistakes that they may be making as they install a child’s seat in a vehicle, and the reason doing it right each time matters. During the program, participants will have a chance to get hands on with car seats and will learn the tricks that can make installing seats easier.

Plus, learn about the Ohio Buckles Buckeyes program, which allows Wyandot County Public Health to provide car seats at a nominal price for families meeting income requirements.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to sign up for car seat check appointment times at the health department to put what they have learned into practice and to ensure that the children they transport are as safe as possible for every trip.

Those who would like to attend virtually may register at https://bit.ly/3QyUa6H.
