Though often displayed outside as garden art elements, she has also gifted her pieces to family or friends in recovery. “They like them because these flowers never die.” With such an exciting and varied medium, Patti says she can see herself Patti was first inspired by glass artwork at craft shows and said to herself, “I can do this!” It took her more than a year of searching thrift stores, scouring yard sales, and exploring antique shops to collect unique glassware to make her inspiration come to life. “To begin with, it was trial and error.” There were challenges with creating flowers made of various types of glass and porcelain such as how these pieces could be attached and displayed. Persistent in her passion, she began a creative journey that has birthed a work space full of glass possibilities and produced Forever Flowers. Patti says she and her daughters enjoy looking through the growing collection of materials and forming their own distinct interpretations of floral art. Feeling inspired?
