Micah read 1,000 books before kindergarten

Micah Hartschuh, son of Jacob and Dawn Hartschuh, has completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the Upper Sandusky Community Library.

Hand holding a polaroid of a little boy. The name Micah is written on the photo. Text says I read 1,000 books before Kindergarten.

Micah started the program on February 4, 2021, and completed it on March 11, 2024. He is three years old and his favorite book is “Book of Vehicles.” Some of his favorite things are the color blue, hot dogs, and macaroni and cheese. Micah enjoys swinging, going down the slide, playing with his tractors, and building with LEGOs.

Any child from birth until they enter kindergarten can participate in the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program. Each child will receive a log to record the books with incentives being given along the way. As you read to your children, they will form a link between books and what they love most – your voice and your closeness.
