Meredith read 1,000 books before kindergarten!

Another area child has joined the ranks of fellow readers who have read 1,000 books before kindergarten.

Meredith Messer completes the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program.

Meredith Messer, daughter of Heidi and Seth Messer and sister to Marcus, has completed the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. Meredith started the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten in August of 2018 and completed it in November of 2020. She is a regular StoryTime participant and loves to read books. Several of the things Meredith enjoys are ice skating, the colors purple and green, and her favorite food is turkey. She will be in kindergarten in the fall.

Any child from birth until he or she enters kindergarten can participate. Each child will receive a log to record the books with incentives being given along the way. As you read to your children, they will form a link between books and what they love most – your voice and your closeness. Find out more about the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program here
