Genealogy & Local History

The Heritage Room has Wyandot County and Upper Sandusky newspapers from 1845 to present. We also have census records, area church records, court records, marriage licenses, births, deaths, and coroner's inquest records on microfilm. To explore these resources, we have two microfilm readers with printers.

We also provide a number of online databases to help streamline the research process. The Upper Sandusky Community Library is proud to offer Ancestry Library Edition for your use in while in the library and other many unique pieces of history relating to Wyandot County and the surrounding areas. Many of these volumes have been compiled by local historians and must be used in the library only.

To request an obituary, download an Obituary/Newspaper Article Request Form, fill it out, and email the completed form to roomhe@seolibraries.org. There is a $5 fee per article/obituary.
